My name is Brian, I live in Minnesota USA. I had been searching for a

Hello Greg and Nina,
     Here is a little writing about my experiences in
Minsk.  I hope it is helpful to you and to anyone
contemplating a trip to Minsk.  If there is anything
that is inappropriate, let me know and I can change it
for you.  Also, I wasn't sure on how many details you
wanted or the length of the story, so I kept it as it
is.  Thanks a lot.  I had a great time in Minsk and it
will be hard to wait until I return!

     Last summer I started writing to my chosen lady
in Belarus.  We corresponded through the A Belarus
Bride agency and as she learned English, we talked on
the phone as well.  I decided to visit with her in
Minsk as I began to grow quite fond of her.  Although
I arranged for my air transportation to Belarus, Greg
and Nina and also Irina in Vitebsk helped greatly in
getting hotel rooms, visa services, and ground
transportation.  Not knowing the language, not knowing
the procedures, I believe it would have been very
difficult (if not impossible) to have arranged
everything for a trip to Minsk on my own.
     Irina accompanied my lady to Minsk and by doing
so, helped her in the process of meeting with me as
well.  In Minsk, once again Irina helped greatly as a
guide to the city and also in arranging
transportation, dealing with the hotel, showing me how
to get money converted, and in taking many pictures of
myself and my lady together.  With the help of A

only enjoyable, but also trouble free.
     As for going to Minsk itself, there is very
little to worry about.  The people of Minsk are very
polite and helpful.  The city has a certain charm -
devoid of Western style commercialism.  There are also

I have been involved with this idea and admittedly also intrigued by this for a year and a half. In this time I have browsed several of the available web sites on the net that advertise thousands of available ladies on their pages. I have written to a few ladies and received responses from many of them. Some I have carried on exchanging letters and phone calls for months. And I have made trips to meet two ladies from the other sides of the world. Sometimes I have felt deceived by these large sites. How would we know?

I stumbled on www.abelarusbride.com and read several of their informational pages. What caught my eye and interest was that they claim to personally know each and every lady on their site. I thought it was worth a phone call to speak to Greg. Well I am happy I did. First, Greg has experienced this entire experience first hand as his lovely wife Nina is from Belarus. Greg has made more than one trip to Belarus and on his last trip spent the better part of a year there. Add to this that Nina’s sister lives in Belarus and runs their office there. If you are disgusted with all of the self-righteous crap American women dole out on a daily basis, then you have come to the right place. If you’re not disgusted, then you still came to the right place. I started searching for my Russian bride in January 2001. But, after an unsuccessful stint, I took some time away and re-started my search in October 2001. I came across A Belarus Bride one evening shortly thereafter and was impressed by what I viewed. I visited the site again a few days later, and made arrangements for Greg to call me that night. I’ll tell you, that phone call changed my life forever.

I hope everything is going great for y'all. My weekend finally ended after working 3.5 shifts. I didn't see my XXXX's pics until last night . I had not been able to get on line for many reasons. I tried to call this morning but I guess you guys were busy. I'll try later. Anyway, I must tell you the pics were super, but her letter was exactly what I needed. I admit that I was apprehensive about approaching her with the God issue . I know that it could turn some people off, but I felt that it was such a big part of my life that I needed to let her know. Her response could not have been any more perfect. To be totally honest, I do not feel that I just happened upon your site. Please understand that for well over two and a half years now I have prayed that He would send the right woman for me into my life. I read everything you had on your site and then I prayed about it for over three months asking for his guidance. I have felt the entire time that I was doing the right thing. Dear Greg and Nina:
As you know, I returned from Vitebsk early this morning.  In the
beginning, I was very skeptical of your site since I had been repeatedly
told that what I want no longer exists, but it was this
"politically incorrect site" that continued to receive my attention.  Until now, I
never knew the long, arduous hours that Greg, Nina, and Irina labor just to
make things work.  A heartfelt thanks to each of you who made this possible.


After my visit,  I have concluded  that there is hope for mankind, and
especially for men in Vitebsk.  The weather was great, and provided a
cool respite from the hot, dry southwestern summer heat where I live.  Though
Vitebsk is a large city, the people were cordial, friendly, and helpful
for the most part.  Even  the children and adolescents were much better
behaved than their western counterparts.
I have never seen so many gorgeous women in one place in all my life.

Not just beautiful women, I mean GORGEOUS!  Women who are strong,
beautiful, and take pride in their womanhood.  They also dress accordingly, and are
definitely not offended if you look.  The women still respect men, and
there is not this antagonistic attitude of women toward men which permeates
American society today.   They still like and appreciate men!  So much
beauty in a city with so much culture.


Oh that first day!  The fatigue, expectations, anticipation, and
nervousness were ever present.  Things were just apparently not
happening.  Irina to the rescue!  Irina, a very beautiful woman in her own right,
who is intelligent, articulate, and is fluent in English but not "Texan".  She
cleared up all the misunderstanding, and wasted no time in getting
things "back on track". Irina is a definite necessity, and truly worth her
weight in gold.


For all you skeptics out there.  Can you imagine a beautiful woman
cooking, and hand washing all your clothes, yet never uttering a word of
complaint while doing so?  A loving and loyal woman who smiles a loving
smile while working in this manner.  It really happened!!!  Does anyone
know of an American woman who is beautiful and works  like this, and exhibits
this type of behavior?  I seriously doubt it.


You men who get squeamish about spending a few bucks should remember
all the money you've squandered on those "dead end" dates and relationships.
Looking from that perspective, the cost is not very great.


During my trip, I discovered that what I've always wanted, really
does still exist.  It is in Vitebsk, and I intend to marry her.  Sometimes it

After being delayed, first by a hurricane in Virginia and then lost
luggage in Warsaw, I have had a wonderful time for the past
three-and-a-half weeks in Vitebsk.  Sveta is a lovely woman in every

If you are a lonely serious guy looking for your happiness, I can tell you from my own personal experiences, what you can do in order to solve your problem in an optimal way. I was in a situation where I could easily find a woman from my own (Western) homeland, but those which were free on the market, could never fulfil my expectations to a serious wife, for a life-lasting marriage.

 

Half a year ago I was exactly in the same situation as you perhaps are now. I spend a lot of money and time with trying to find an acceptable wife on the Internet. wonderful year! Natalia and I will soon be together and it would not have
been possible without you all and your help!

Natalia is the most wonderful, kind and compassionate lady I have ever
met. While we were half a world apart physically our hearts were already
one from the start and to my amazement I found in Natalia a kindred soul.

I had given up hope of ever finding my love of my life many years ago and
had searched fruitlessly for many years. When Bob first told me about the
agency I was at first most skeptical. Natalia tells me she was also
skeptical that such a long distance relationship could work when her
friends suggested she sign up as well.

To our amazement, not only have we had a growing relationship but we have
found in each other what we thought was not possible to find in anyone.
Kindred hearts and one mindedness and most importantly loving acceptance
and understanding for one another. Our sense of humor is the same and to
be honest I had never met anyone, man or woman with my sense of humor in
my life. Most of my friends have trouble understanding my humor side at
times. This has been most refreshing and Natalia and I have found within

The English lessons offered have helped us bridge the language barrier
successfully and the translating and letter writing throughout our
relationship has been most helpful. Guys, meeting someone through pictures
and letters is a great way to start out and you can build a strong
relationship of understanding and love for each other before the
relationship takes control. For me it was very VERY important for Natalia
and I to have a meeting of our hearts and minds because I wanted to find,
love and marry my soul mate. I had often felt in past dating experiences
that the relationships were not deep and emotionally satisfying.

Natalia and I found we were becoming emotionally and deeply in love before
we had even met in Minsk. The meeting in Minsk back in September of this
year only confirmed what I already knew in my heart. I had found my soul
mate, my one and only, Natalia. For this I am most profoundly grateful!
Her expected immigration to America in January will be the greatest
Christmas Gift of my entire life! We plan to be married in February and
off on our adventurous life journey together both through joys and
hardships all will be rewarding! I can't imagine today how I lived without
her only a year ago.

This would not have been possible without Greg and Nina and all the good

I want to tell you about how my life has changed to the much much better,
since I clicked on www.abelarusbride.com.

I found my happiness in Vitebsk, and am today married to the most
fantastic woman in the world. We love each other deeply from our hearts,

   I want to sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for introducing me to Elena. I have spent
  the last 4 years and nearly $40 thousand dollars looking for a woman from the FSU. It has been
  quite a learning experience. As you recall I tried to write to Elena in the fall of 2003 and you had told

  real or as kind hearted as she is ... anyway the guy is an idiot. Well I am very happy that he is an idiot
   because we are a perfect match. You know in the past when I met a beautiful woman from FSU I would come
   home and recall my trip and think that yes that woman was very beautiful but I could not clearly see a future
   with them. Maybe inside I knew we were not a match, maybe I did not trust them ... I don't know can't put my

To all prospective members,

It’s a strange world we live in where old values are being abandoned and replaced with artifical ideals created by modern marketing.

A man is long longer permitted to be a man and a woman is not permitted to be a woman because they should be equal to the extend of removing the foundations of the concept of family and for me it is no wonder that family happiness is breaking up everywhere these years.

The modern slogan is that everyone has got a duty to make the most out of his or her life whereas the old values claim that nobody can do that except through another person – through love and marriage in the classical sense.

This foolish stress on self has also got the consequence that really many find themselves unable to match the ideal of a man or of a woman as these ideals are being artificially created through modern marketing and thus deeming many of us unfit to pass on our genes because we do not belong to the artificial elite – being short, being fat, being redhaired or whatever the reason.

All this is a plague in todays Western world because everybody is encouraged to think that he or she only deserves the very best and thefore it often seems to be the custom that you just abandon a partner just as easy as you throw out the old pair of shoes.

True human values and concepts of family do survive however and offers hope for those that are hopeless in Western society. Such values can still be found for example in Belarus where I have also found my wife to be through the assistance of ’A Belarus Bride’.

At first I tried to move on my own and succeeded to do so without burning my fingers too much but I won’t recommend anybody to do the same because there are just too many on the outlook to exploit such lonely seekers even including many of the agencies.

It has been almost exactly one year since I met you both in Akron, and since that time I have traveled to Vitebsk twice. Hi Greg and Nina,

It is now 1 year since Lena and I were married and we celebrated our anniversary today. This has been a long year with all the wonderful paperwork that you must do. It has been worth every bit of the work that you are required to do for the permanent status. I am very happy that I took the risk and went to Belarus to find my life partner.

Lena got her green card 2 months ago and Veronika got her card 1 week ago. Slowly but surely we are working through the bureaucratic process. Soon we will be finished and Lena will have to decide if she wants citizenship. With the green cards they can now leave the country without a problem.

Lena and Veronika will leave soon for Belarus to see her relatives. I will also follow later and we return to America together. I am looking forward to the break from my work. Belarus is a great place for a vacation.

Thank you for helping me to find Lena . I think I am very lucky to have this woman for my wife. She is a great partner. Veronika continues to adjust in school. She is doing very well and reads much better than some of her American class mates.

Any guys out there that are thinking of a marriage to one of the ladies that Greg and Nina represent. Life is always a risk, sometimes you have to take a risk to be happy. I am very happy that I took this risk. A woman from Belarussia is a refreshing change, try it, I think you will be very pleased.  Happy New Year to you and your family!  It is great to hear from you.  Here is an essay my wife wrote for an English writing class she took at the local community college.  I thought it might interest your readers to hear about the "A Belarus Bride" experience from a woman's perspective. 

 

                                       The Day That Changed My Life

 

   My day began like any ordinary day.  I woke up early that Saturday morning to help my family work at our dacha.  (A dacha is a small farmhouse outside the main city where families can grow their own fruits and vegetables.)  At 7 am, I woke up my four year old son.  We ate a quick breakfast.  After packing some food and toys for our trip, my son and I left our apartment for the long bus trip to the dacha.  June weather in Belarus is not always pleasant.  However this particular Saturday, the weather was sunny and beautiful.

 My son and I along with my mother and stepfather spent a pleasant day working in our country garden.  We returned to my apartment in the late afternoon.  Everyone was very tired after working outside in the sun.  I was so exhausted that I wished to do nothing but rest.  When I entered my apartment, I noticed a message on my answering machine.  It was a most unusual message.  It was from "A Belarus Bride", an introduction/marriage agency that I had joined almost 1.5 years before. The message said an American man had written a letter to me.  Was I interested in writing him back?  If so, I needed to come to the agency that evening before 7 pm.  I glanced at my watch.  It was already 6:30 pm.  Could I make it to their office in time?  I was tired, sweating and not at all fresh.  I remember the dress I was wearing.  It was a short summer dress made from denim, light blue colored with five buttons in front.  My hair was in a ponytail because it was dirty.  And looking like this, I decided to go to the agency.

 I raced out my door and made it to their office just in time.  The lady there was very kind to me.  She showed me the American man's letter and photo.  I remember his picture very well as I still carry it in my wallet.  The first thing that crossed my mind as I looked at his photo was how much he looked like my father at a young age.  I enjoyed the man's letter so much that I wrote him a return letter.  From that Saturday in June 2003, my life changed in a totally unexpected way.  From that evening on, my life would never be the same.

 This event changed my point of view regarding this kind of relationship.  In the beginning, I did not believe I could meet a good man through an international marriage agency.  My only knowledge of marriage agencies were the stories I read in Belarusian newspapers.  Most of the stories were about women who were unhappy with their new marriage partners.  Now I have a very different opinion of marriage agencies.

 As my relationship with my future husband grew, I met several Eastern European women who married American men through international marriage agencies.  Most reported they were very pleased with their American husbands.  I recently met a Russian woman while shopping at a local supermarket.  I overheard her talking to her daughters in Russian so I walked up and introduced myself.  I discovered she had met her husband through an international marriage agency in Moscow.  She and her husband have been happily married for 15 years and are parents of two beautiful daughters.

 Another change in my life is I have become more patient, tolerant and understanding of other cultures.  Before coming to the U.S., I had not traveled much.  I visited only Eastern European countries like Russia, Ukraine and Bulgaria.  All these countries have similar histories, lifestyles and language.  What a different story it was when I entered the U.S.!  I was not prepared for all the new sights and sounds.  Everything around me was both new and strange.  Shopping, paying bills, architecture and weather were completely different from my experiences in Belarus. 

 I remember my first week of living in Texas.  It was two summers ago and the weather was very hot and humid.  Our new home was empty.  I didn't know any of my neighbors.  One evening, a pretty Brazilian lady knocked on my door.  She introduced herself as our neighbor and invited my family to a barbeque at her home.  At the barbeque, I met 5 couples.  Every person I met came from a different culture than my own.  There were Americans, Brazilians, Indians, Puerto Ricans and Yugoslavians.  I could not imagine so many different cultures meeting together in one backyard!  All of us grew up in very different environments but it did not stop us from becoming friends.  I learned a new lesson.  The country that you come from does not matter.  Personality and attitude are what really matter.

 That sunny Saturday in June 2003 means a lot to me.  Now I cannot imagine what my life would be like without that summer day.  My relationship with the American man grew quickly.  Within a year of meeting him, we became husband and wife.  Now I have been living in America for over 4 years.  All the experiences of my new life in the U.S. have been both exciting and interesting.  That summer day changed me in many ways.  It continues to change me even today.

Hello! My name is Chris. I am from Bartlesville OK, USA. Well, where to start.... I was a lot like you at first. I had married a Russian woman in 2001 but later she returned to her country. I seriously doubted the sincerity of most Russian women, of course.... I had lived in Dallas Texas and had known other Russian American couples and they were absolutely happy. Dear Nina and Greg,


Tomorrow the 22th will TWO thankful friends of our “family” celebrate their common 108 years birthday together (we have birthday the same day)! The next day on the 23th will the same two friends of yours celebrate their 3rd Wedding Anniversary together.

We live in our beautiful house with panorama view to “paradise”, and are very happy about living in Switzerland. Rinka and I would also have stayed together on one social income, in a cottage in Africa, because Rinka is the TOTAL opposite of a “ticket to the west”.


When we met in Minsk in 2004, we got the most FANTASTIC present any people can be given. After a few hours together the where no feelings of mutual sympathy between us, but TRUE TRUE TRUE mutual LOVE, deep from our hearts. Thank you Nina for translating more than 100 pages from me to Rinka in these days. ... Probably because of that we knew ALL about each other in advance, we “exploded” with true love so fast. Rinka has later told me, that when she woke up the next day at the hotel in Minsk (no we did not make anything there!), she knew that I would be her husband for all life.


Rinka and I LOVE LOVE LOVE each other, and are functioning so well together. We will stay all life together, and always take care of our happiness. ... You cannot buy with money, or with passing some exams, what Rinka have found together. Thank you guys for what you have done for us. We will be thankful to both of you for all life.
